  • Popis: The parade, departed from Piazza Castello, crosses Via Po and reaches Piazza Vittorio Veneto transformed for the occasion in an arena, where warlike techniques of various ages are staged. It can be seen: the defensive position of the "tortoise" typical of the Roman militia, the games of the chivalry tournaments, the parade of the Garibaldi soldiers, the (real) First World War survivors. The show is attended by the sovereigns, noblemen and notaries. The staging is curated by a painter (Domenico Gaido), probably in order to enhance its plasticity. The shootings are entrusted to several of the best operators: Ubaldo Arata, Anchise Brizzi and Giuseppe Vitrotti. The video is a copy from the film print held by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema: 35mm, positive, triacetate, 717 m, 35’ at 16 fps, colour, Italian intertitles, silent.
